The Waterloo Ball is held in Belfast every two years. It is a Gala Charity Ball and is regarded as the best event of its type staged in Northern Ireland. The Lords Taverners is the National Charity, that is now well known locally for giving young people, from those are disadvantaged and who have a disability, a real sporting chance.

The Ball held 24 May 2008 was the biggest fund raising event for the Northern Ireland Region of the Charity in 2008, and indeed one of the largest charity events in Ireland.

Ambridge Executive were pleased to be able to offer their support by transporting VIP guests, speakers and participating acts to and from the venue. Luxury transportation for a number of the auction and draw prize winners has also been donated by Ambridge

In addition Ambridge Executive afforded all attendees at the event two further opportunities for prizes.  Billed as the "Ultimate Driving Experience."

A voucher from Race School Ireland is the opportunity of a lifetime, to have a driving experience they will never forget. Sitting behind the wheel of a Formula Ford Single Seater Racing Car, you will experience the first step on the grid to Formula 1 Grand Prix Racing. The fun, the adrenaline, the excitement that gets your heart racing.

Race School Ireland is the only fully Motor Sports Association approved licensed racing school in Ireland. This gives you the confidence that you will be well looked after. A fully qualified ARDS instructor gives full in-car instruction. All courses take place at Kirkistown fully licensed Race Track, which is about 40 minutes from Belfast on the Ards Peninsula.

The Formula Super Plus Course content includes a saloon car demonstration and instruction laps with a qualified racing instructor. This is be followed by a comprehensive briefing covering the basic driving of a single seater racing car including safety, cornering lines, gear changing, general track behaviour and discipline.

Next, it's the turn of the individual to drive. This is a saloon car lapping session and marked by your own personal professional instructor. The instructor will of course tutor the individual during the exercise. The marks awarded to you during the session will help us access your general aptitude.

The next step is a single seater, race specification Formula Ford. You will receive instruction on controls, driving position etc. There will be 3 separate drivings sessions in the Formula Ford 1600 single seater. A short briefing is then given and the individual will transfer to the 130 bhp Zip Formula single seater racing car for the final fourth session and the individual is out on track for a fantastic experience of an 8-lap timed session after which there is a de-brief and review of driving style and techniques. Following this the Race School Ireland Certificate will be presented.
